ASTD-VOS is sponsoring hands-on workshops aimed at providing an opportunity to learn about the latest trends and topics in training and development. Workshop Information

Many organizations want to improve job performance but at the same time reduce training expenses. In essence, training developers feel like interior designers making major renovations on a shoestring budget. Accelerated Learning (AL) can make this impossible task possible. AL is a system for speeding up and enhancing both the training design process and the learning process. In this training, you will discover how effective AL can be to your learners, trainers, and department’s bottom line.

Objectives: Upon the completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

• Describe basic Accelerated Learning principles.
• Explain the benefits of using Accelerated Learning over traditional classroom-style or computer-based learning.
• Develop accelerated learning activities for one of your existing training courses.
• Address management and facilitator concerns about using Accelerated Learning.

ROI Institute Certification Workshop

We are pleased to offer the chance for ASTD-VOS members to attend an ROI Certification Workshop presented by the ROI Institute. This is a five day workshop that provides the participants with the chance to become a certified ROI practioner. As part of the workshop, participants will:

• Prepare and submit pre-work which elicits the identification of a business or organizational challenge that is appropriate for the utilization of the ROI Methodology™.
• Participate in a highly interactive workshop using real-life situations to work toward mastery of all the skills needed to implement a comprehensive, on-going ROI initiative in the work-place.
• Apply the ROI Methodology™ when conducting impact studies in their own organizations; participants receive on-going, personalized coaching from the ROI Institute team.
• Achieve certification once an impact study is submitted which demonstrates competency in applying the ROI Methodology™.
