Heard about Second Life recently? If you haven't..then you must not watch TV, read magazines, newspapers, or listen to the radio. Just recently Second Life has been popping up in every imaginable corner of the media. For a technology thats been around for 3 years..its just now finding legs in the corporate community. Remember back in 1995 that thing called the World Wide Web? Well, its happening again, but this time in 3D and animated.

Second Life is a virtual environment where you can meet, socialize, network, do business with, learn from or teach people from around the globe. Within Second Life there are several distincts groups of people. Some people are there for the purely social networking side and others are there for the fantastic business networking and marketing, while others are somewhere in between trying to find their niche.

I've been researching Second Life for 7 months now and I firmly believe this will be an interruptive technology, especially in our world of workplace learning and performance professionals.
